Airtel operates in more than 20 countries across South Asia and Africa has grabbed the fourth position in the world in the terms of subscribers,By a report it is said to have 250.4 million subscribers. The three brands ahead of it are :
China Mobile
Connections (millions)*: 683.08
Operator: Vodafone Group
Connections (millions)*: 386.88
Operator: America Movil Group
Connections (millions)*: 251.83
Not far from the 3rd ranked America Movil Group,we hope airtel will soon grab the 3rd position.
The other Indian telecom operators in the report are Reliance Communications, Idea Cellular and BSNL at eigth, fourteenth and twentieth position, respectively. While Reliance Communications has maintained its global ranking, Idea Cellular has moved up three places. State-run BSNL's ranking dropped by two places.
